Academic and cultural exchanger

In 2016, I was awarded the STEM Regional Fulbright-García Robles Scholarship for Mexican students. Granted by The Mexico-United States Commission for the Academic and Cultural Exchange (COMEXUS), the scholarship aims the mutual agreement between the US and Mexico through academic training and scientific research on priority areas concerning both countries: energy, food security, environmental protection, and public health, among others. Regarding this context, I have decided to pursue a doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering and to join a research group, namely Dr. Heather Hunt's, at the University of Missouri. My research seeks standing out by its combined biochemistry, biotechnology, food science and chemical engineering approach to the solution of top priority bilateral issues.

EXPERIENCE

2012-2017

Junior Engineer

CIATEQ

I calculated chemical process equipment for conceptual, basic and detailed engineering projects such as Micro-algae Photo Bioreactor Pilot Plant and Extraction and Hydrolysis Batch Reactor for Chitin from Shrimp's Covers.

2008-2010

Technical operator

CASA ARMANDO GUILLERMO PRIETO

I operated the diffusion station, the hydrolysis reactor, the fermentation tanks and the continuous distillation tower at the 20,000 L/hour alcoholic drink production facility.

2007

Internship

PETRÓLEOS MEXICANOS (PEMEX)

I was assigned a preliminary assessment for the installation of a condenser cooled by air in the Catalytic Cracking Plant II in the refinery Antonio Dovalí Jaime.
